Why Parador vinyl is special
Parador is heralding a new era to its product range in the form of vinyl. The high quality synthetic floor is the ideal choice for people with high quality standards and an appreciation for individual interior design. The new vinyl floors from Parador are distinguished by extremely high durability, comfort and stylish design. Due to its pleasant, easy-care properties and resistance to damp and chemical substances, it always looks its best in the bathroom and kitchen too. The special surface coating means that Parador vinyl floors are particularly well suited for allergy sufferers. The Classic and Trendtime collections feature the usual variety of decors, which allow dream floors to be turned into reality.
Our resilient floors are made either completely of durable, robust vinyl material or a vinyl support layer applied to a wood fibreboard and a layer of cork. Vinyl floors are ideal for creating excellent surface texturing. This allows authentic imitations of natural materials such as wood or stone.
Parador vinyl floors are distinguished by a functional composition and intelligent technology. Our click systems guarantee easy installation, whilst swell-resistant core boards provide reliable protection against damp. All Parador vinyl floors are suitable for underfloor heating systems. Floors made of solid vinyl are particularly water-resistant and therefore ideal for use in the bathroom and kitchen. Our wear classes show that the floors are also suitable for heavy duty use in home, commercial and industrial areas.
All Parador vinyl floors have low emissions and allergens and contribute towards an ecological balance thanks to their robust nature and long life. All Parador vinyl products are regularly tested providing excellent results; as a product tested for emissions, they therefore have building regulations approval. The special surface coating has a repellent effect against dirt and bacteria. Our vinyl is very quiet and easy to clean, signifying that it is perfectly suitable for households with pets, children and allergy sufferers.
Due to the design of the surface, we create a number of installation patterns that interpret classic wood looks or give a flight of fantasy to individual patterns. Parador vinyl is available in the following installation patterns.
Care & Cleaning vinyl (see guide )
The special surface coating on Parador vinyl floors has a repellent effect against dirt and bacteria. Vinyl floors are easy to clean, making them perfectly suitable for households with pets, children and allergy sufferers.
As with all other floor coverings, you should protect your new vinyl from dirt particles such as sand by using suitable dirt-trapping zones. To protect the vinyl floors from scratches, felt pads must always be fitted under chair and table legs and under pieces of furniture. For normal maintenance cleaning, it is recommended to simply vacuum the floor or wipe it with a damp cloth. It is important in this case that no puddles form with standing water.
Using abrasives, floor waxes, steam cleaners or polishes is not recommended. Dirty marks caused by substances like shoe cream, varnish, tar, oil, grease, ink and lipstick are best removed using a cloth soaked in PU (polyurethane) cleaner. In this respect, the relevant instructions of use should be observed. To remove stains and level slight scratches, apply some PU cleaner with a cloth to the area being treated and rub it dry after a few minutes. If you have to treat or renovate a larger area, it is recommended using special care products and seals, which can be bought in specialist shops.
Installation vinyl (see guide )
Before installation, the vinyl flooring elements must acclimatise and be kept at least 48 hours in their original packaging at the place of installation. Besides a firm, clean, dry substrate, the right underlay plays a crucial role. It compensates for slight uneven patches, reduces ambient and impact noise and, with an integrated moisture barrier, ensures the required moisture protection on mineral subfloors. When installing vinyl floors with an .
(fibres with high density)core board, the integrated cork layer ensures that impact noise is reduced. An underlay from the Parador Akustik range is not necessary here.
During installation, for all vinyl products, certain minimum gaps to fixed objects and walls must be maintained. For vinyl with an (fibres with high density)core board, this “expansion joint” should be at least 8 mm, for vinyl made of solid material it should be 5 mm.
Once the underlay is installed, it is possible to start with the actual installation process. With a floating installation, the vinyl floor is laid without being firmly fastened to the subfloor. Due to the simple click technology, Parador vinyl floors can be installed stably without prior knowledge. For optical reasons we recommend installing the long edges parallel to the incidence of light. If there is more than one source of light, please go by the largest one. In general, care should be taken that the plank's groove faces towards the room. The floor is ready to walk on as soon as it has been installed. Remove spacer wedges and attach Parador skirting board with clip technology – that's it!
For the optimal utilisation of the floor, we recommend applying a PU cleaner. This prevents the floor from getting dirty and provides full care for your vinyl.
If you use the floor for commercial purposes (e.g. in car showrooms, hairdressing salons, etc.), we also recommend applying a PU anti-colour care product, which increases its resistance to colouring chemicals.
